Guangdong Xinhui Shuangshui Power Plant

Highlights:

1. Utilization of exhaust gas –Utilize the exhaust gas from the power plant for central air-conditioning system.

2. Zone air-conditioning – previous the plant and local people used electricity for cooling and for hot water by gas. It resulted in low efficiency and serious pollution. After modification, the utilization of exhaust gas can provide cooling, heating and hot water.

3. National standard -- this is the first case of recycling cooling for China power plants. It is good example for other power plants to learn.

So far this is the biggest project of exhaust gas recycling project in China power generation industry. It is a key project of energy-saving and emission-reduction designated by National Development and Reform Commission. The project has won the first prize of Environmental Protection Technology Innovation awarded by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2009.
